Those Lazy Hazy Daze of Summer...

are upon us in full force!

Welcome to Summer in Kentucky! Torrential spring rains gave way to near-record breaking high temperatures in late spring.  Take advantage of cooler temps in the early hours of the day & again closer to evening in order to capitalize on the natural "air conditioning" in the cockpit.  A thorough check of the local weather & enroute forecasts will help ensure a safe flight in spite of the notorious "pop-up" thunderstorms the Ohio River Valley is famous for.  Tote along some bottled water for yourself & passengers as the effects of the heat can creep up on you even though you may not feel any exertion.  If you haven't flown since late winter, ensure the oil cooler winterization plate has been removed from your aircraft, if applicable.  ENJOY the longer days ahead & fly safe!
