Bendix/King AV8OR GPS
The Bendix/King AV8OR (pronounced 'aviator') is now shipping. It features an aviation moving-map GPS, automotive mapping, XM weather through WxWorx, plus a media player for music, video, ebooks, and pictures, all in one handheld device!
The AV8OR includes innovative features such as a unique high-brightness touch screen interface. While airborne, you can instantly see critical information on map features simply by tapping the screen, or effortlessly navigate the map by touching and dragging. A vertical profile view of the terrain helps you visualize potential obstacles on your course.
In the car, the AV8OR provides a complete automotive navigation system with 2D and 3D views, with voice directions, maps for the entire U.S. and Canada, and more than 12 million points of interest. The unit's 4GB memory card contains both aviation and automotive map databases for the entire U.S. and Canada, so there is no need to keep downloading different map regions.
List price for the AV8OR is $749, and includes the following standard accessories:
- Aircraft yoke mount
- External GPS antenna
- DC power adapter (for cockpit and car use)
- AC power adapter (for home use)
- USB cable (for uploading music, video, pictures, and ebooks from your PC)
- Carrying bag
- Automotive windshield mount
